Urea-formaldehyde based resin with special flours added. It is used in the wood industry for hotsetting bonding. It is characterized by high tenacity and good pot life. Usage: plywood, cored panels, paper, veneers Characteristics: Hraniresin 47 is a white or walnut coloured. The best usage is in wood industry. However, woods like birch, rosewood, teak, fir-wood and briars in general may sometimes require a special formulation Specific gravity approx. 0.5 g/cm3 Viscosity Brookfield at 20° C s3/5 rpm (solution 2:1 in water) 2,000–7,000 mPas The product must be diluted in water at approx. 65% of solid content as in the following formulation: Hraniresin 47 Cold water (15–20 °C) 10 5 kg kg Pot lives at: 15 °C 20 °C 30 °C   7 4 2   h h h Hardening times at: 60 °C 80 °C 100 °C   8 100 50   min s s When applying the product, hardening time must be increased by one minute for each millimetre of wood thickness. Application: Apply using an applicator with rollers, spatula or brush. Glue quantity must be spread according to the type of the materials involved (generally between 100 and 200 g/m2). The press operating pressure depends on the materials used, ranging from 0,8 to 2 kg /cm2. The gluing mixture should preferably be prepared in non-metallic vessels, or in stainless steel recipient. Packaging and storage: Store in original and closed package at temperature 10–30 °C. The shelf life is 6 months. This product is hygroscopic and must be preserved from contact with humidity. Contact with humidity may lead to formation of blocks and the glue may become unusable.
